Child and Family Hubs
Child and Family Hubs bring a range of early childhood, health and family support services together in one location, making it easier for families to access the help they need. These hubs are usually located on the same site as primary schools and in some states are called Child and Family/Child and Parent Centres.
While services vary across Australia, many hubs offer:
maternal and child health care
parenting support
developmental screening
supported playgroups
allied health services like, speech pathology, occupational therapy and psychology
connections to other family support services
By providing coordinated support in a familiar community setting, Child and Family Hubs aim to identify concerns early, strengthen parenting confidence and give children the best possible start in life.
