Snuggle up and enjoy these gorgeous children’s books together.

If you’re anything like me then you’re always on the lookout for new children’s books. Here are four of my favourites that will make your eyes well and heart swell every time you read them with your little one.

  • Kissed by the Moon – Alison Lester

This beautiful lullaby should be read to every baby on a daily basis. Everything about this book is beautiful – from the illustrations, right down to the texture of the cover. This rhyme encourages us to be in the moment and enjoy the beauty in the world around us. Another classic by Alison Lester.

Best Baby Books - Kissed by the Moon
  • The Wonderful Things You Will Be – Emily Winfield Martin

This is a relatively new addition to our library and an instant favourite. The verse is an open letter to all our little ones and has words of wonder, inspiration and love. It celebrates the uniqueness of every child with the perfect take home message ‘I’ll love you no matter what’.

  • The Paper Dolls – Julia Donaldson & Rebecca Cobb

A beautiful story that explores the concepts of life, loss and the memory of loved ones. This is a great gift for any little girl and will be enjoyed over and over, particularly when shared in a cuddle with Mum.

  • Oh the Places You’ll Go – Dr Seuss

This book is fantastic for any age. In fact, the copy we have on our shelf was given to me as a farewell gift and I think of my friend fondly every time I share this book with Ella. In a similar vein to The Wonderful Things You Will Be, Oh the Places You’ll Go is an inspiring and uplifting classic Dr Seuss book that explores the trials, tribulations and triumphs that make us human.
